About The Job

This Senior Project Engineer position at The Source Technical Ltd involves creating innovative and commercially viable designs for new products.

The role requires leadership in technical sales meetings, close interaction with external customers and contractors, and ensuring the successful transition of products from concept to production.

The estimated annual salary for this position is £57,375, based on the North Yorkshire location and industry standards.

Responsibilities include:

  • Generating new business alongside the Sales and Marketing department.
  • Creating new product designs meeting and customer standards.
  • Working directly with external customers and contractors.
  • Ensuring successful product realization from concept to Start of Production (SOP).

We are looking for a highly skilled individual with expertise in designing for manufacture, assembly, and quality, as well as experience in risk assessment and management.

A strong customer and quality focus is essential, along with excellent communication skills and the ability to exhibit robust problem-solving and project management skills.

The ideal candidate will have a HND or degree in an engineering discipline, preferably mechanical engineering with design, and be proficient in plastic product design using 2D and 3D CAD software (preferably SolidWorks & PDM).
