Job Title: Safeguarding Specialist

Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled Safeguarding Specialist to join our team at Dovetail and Slate. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the safety and well-being of our students, particularly those facing challenges such as mental health or being care leavers.

Key Responsibilities:

• Handle safeguarding and welfare enquiries in accordance with guidelines
• Support high-needs students, including ESOL learners, young parents, and vulnerable adults
• Provide immediate support to ensure young people and vulnerable adults are safe
• Follow up on safeguarding incidents according to legal requirements
• Work with other teams to ensure smooth transitions and ongoing support for high-needs students
• Maintain up-to-date electronic records and collaborate with parents, staff, and external agencies as needed

Requirements:

• Enhanced DBS
• Ability to start ASAP
• Safeguarding experience
• Excellent numeracy and literacy skills
• Ability to maintain effective working relationships
