Job Overview

HHB Communications Ltd. is seeking a skilled Facilities and Office Manager to oversee the smooth operation of our premises, including offices and warehouses. This is a varied role that requires a proactive and practical approach to problem-solving, with a focus on facilities management, health and safety, and office administration.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Proactive management of building maintenance and repairs, including on-site contractor management and minor repairs and maintenance.
  • Overall responsibility for building security and dealing with security companies.
  • Management and organisation of staff training courses, including health and safety, fire wardens, first aiders, forklift truck driving, and DSE.
  • Carrying out site health and safety risk assessments and completing DSE and PPE checks annually.
  • Liaising with contractors, suppliers, and HHB staff to ensure a safe and healthy workplace.
  • Providing cover for the receptionist and managing event logistics.

Requirements:

  • Full, clean, manual driving license is essential for this role.
  • Proven track record of facilities/office administration or similar is essential.
  • Practical experience in building maintenance and repairs is desirable.
  • Knowledge of health and safety requirements, legislation, and training courses is desirable.
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills, with the ability to deal with people at all levels of management, customers, contractors, and suppliers.
  • Excellent written skills and competence in Microsoft Office tools (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, etc.).

This is a full-time position, but we are willing to consider part-time hours for the right candidate. The role will be based primarily at our Scrubs Lane premises, with occasional travel to our other locations.
