Job Summary
Comhairle nan Eilean Siar is seeking a Relief Accommodations Manager to staff its shared temporary accommodation unit in Stornoway. The successful candidate will have an understanding of the needs of homeless persons and experience of working with the client group or similar.

Responsibilities
* Providing general advice and support to residents;
* Preparing and cleaning rooms for allocation to new residents;
* Monitoring general conduct of residents;
* Monitoring entry to the building and ensuring residents and visitors are complying with house rules;
* Undertaking regular inspections of rooms and premises and ensuring all communal areas are cleaned on a daily basis;
* Assisting with the collection of rents and service charges;
* Carrying out fire alarm checks.

Requirements
* You will have an understanding of the needs of homeless persons and experience of working with the client group or similar, good interpersonal and customer care skills, the ability to handle conflict and cope with emergencies, and flexibility in terms of shift working.
* This post is subject to membership of the Protecting Vulnerable Groups (PVG) Scheme in respect of regulated work with adults.

Working Environment
The Relief Accommodations Manager will be part of a team that provides essential services to the community. Interviews will be conducted in person, providing candidates with the chance to personally meet the team and experience our work environment.
