Compassionate Support Professional: Homeless Services

We are seeking a highly motivated and compassionate Support Worker to join our team in Scotland's largest provider of homelessness services. As a key member of our community, you will be instrumental in providing person-centred, trauma-informed support to individuals who have experienced rough sleeping.
**About the Role**
As a Support Worker, you will be based in the community, working one-to-one with individuals to provide support and link in with other agencies and partners as required. Your key responsibilities will include developing honest and open relationships with our community, using your training to develop additional skills, working with people from diverse backgrounds, and fostering connection, hope, and a positive identity in life.
**Requirements**
To succeed in this role, you will need:
• Essential qualifications: SVQ 3 social care or willingness to work towards, SSSC Registered or willingness to become so.
• Desirable qualifications: Trauma-informed practice, Assist / MHFA / SafeTalk trained, Naloxone trained, Mental Health or Substance Use qualifications.
• Experience in providing support to people with a range of experiences, including homelessness, mental ill health, and substance use, and working in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with empathy, relational skills, understanding of ethical and relational boundaries.
