About the ServiceWe provide 24-hour supported accommodation for people who are homeless, with two services located in Edinburgh. Our team offers a wide range of support services, including assistance with daily living skills and mental health support.
What You Will Do- Work as part of a rota to ensure that our service users receive consistent and high-quality support.
- Develop positive relationships with service users, understanding their individual needs and goals.
- Assist service users with daily living tasks, such as cooking and cleaning, and encourage them to develop independent living skills.
- Provide emotional support and guidance to service users, helping them to address any mental health issues or low self-esteem.
- Work collaboratively with other members of the team to ensure that service users receive comprehensive support.
- A confident and assertive approach, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- The ability to work flexibly, including evenings and weekends.
- An understanding of the complexities of homelessness and the importance of providing sensitive and non-judgmental support.
- Fully paid Induction and shadow shifts to ensure you have the skills and knowledge needed to excel in your role.
- A competitive salary, estimated at £25,000-£30,000 per annum, depending on experience.
