About the Role

We are seeking a Homelessness Prevention Coordinator to join our team at Simon Community Scotland. As a key member of our Housing First program, you will work with individuals who are at risk of becoming homeless, providing intensive support to help them maintain their tenancies and achieve stability in their lives.

The ideal candidate will have experience working with vulnerable populations, including those with mental health issues and substance use disorders. You will be responsible for developing and maintaining relationships with clients, assessing their needs, and creating personalized plans to address their goals.

A strong understanding of trauma-informed care and the ability to work effectively with internal and external partners are essential for this role. If you are passionate about making a positive impact in the lives of others and have a commitment to excellence, we encourage you to apply.

**Key Responsibilities:**

  • Provide intensive support to clients at risk of becoming homeless
  • Develop and maintain relationships with clients, family members, and community partners
  • Assess client needs and create personalized plans to address their goals
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure seamless service delivery

**Requirements:**

  • SVQ 3 social care or willingness to work towards
  • SSSC Registered or willingness to become so
  • Experience working with vulnerable populations, including those with mental health issues and substance use disorders
  • Strong understanding of trauma-informed care
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Salary: £35,000 - £40,000 per annum (dependent on experience)
