**Job Description:** Volunteer Youth Program Assistant

**Location:** Norwich, Norfolk

**Salary:** £13.00 - £16.00 per hour (dependent on experience)

About the Project

Norwich International Youth Project supports young people aged 11-25 who are seeking asylum or have refugee status. Our aim is to enable young people to improve their wellbeing and self-esteem, increase opportunities, and encourage successful integration within the wider community.

We are looking for a volunteer youth program assistant to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for helping to deliver weekly youth group sessions, which include creative activities, sports, games, and trips in the local area.

The assistant will be expected to:

  • Support staff and activity providers to deliver sessions
  • Help with setting up and packing away equipment
  • Encourage young people to participate in activities
  • Assist with cooking and cleaning where necessary

We are looking for volunteers who can commit to regular attendance on Thursday evenings, 4pm-7pm, and are comfortable communicating with young people from diverse backgrounds.
