Youth Development Officer

St John Ambulance is seeking a motivated and enthusiastic individual to join our Youth Team as a Youth Leader.
The successful candidate will have the opportunity to make a positive impact on the lives of young people in the Sprowston and Old Catton areas, developing their confidence, teamwork skills, and self-discipline.
We are looking for someone who is passionate about working with youth and is able to commit to regular volunteering. In return, we offer a rewarding and challenging experience that will enable you to develop new skills and qualities.
The role involves working with our Youth Unit, supporting young people to achieve their full potential, and contributing to the development of our team. If you are a motivated and enthusiastic individual who is passionate about working with youth, we would love to hear from you
Salary: £12-15 per hour (dependent on experience)
Key Responsibilities- To support the development of our Youth Unit, including planning and delivering activities, mentoring, and coaching young people
- To work closely with our Welcome Team to ensure a smooth induction process for new volunteers
- To contribute to the ongoing development of our team, including training and quality assurance
- Enthusiasm and passion for working with youth
- Ability to commit to regular volunteering (minimum 2 hours per week)
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Flexibility and willingness to adapt to changing circumstances
