Job Summary: We are looking for a Technical Help Desk Expert to join our team at Interface Recruitment UK. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing technical support to our clients, maintaining group systems and infrastructure, and identifying new developments aligned with our organisation's strategy.

Responsibilities:

  • Deliver systems and requirements in line with IS strategy and key objectives.
  • Assist in training department members, end-users, and new employees.
  • Develop and update system or software procedures, requirements, and changes.
  • Perform maintenance and backup functions for key systems, resolving issues of diverse scope.
  • Conduct system testing to ensure efficiency and accuracy.
  • Implement and maintain system security and data confidentiality.
  • Administer and maintain security and integrity of critical systems.
  • Provide accurate and timely resolutions to technical problems.
  • Provide support to users during normal business hours and on-call rota.
  • Install, configure, support, troubleshoot, and document infrastructure.
  • Troubleshoot hardware and software problems for all supported platforms.
  • Test, install, and configure new hardware and software solutions.
  • Log calls into service desk application and ensure user notification.
  • Perform system checks in line with procedures set.
  • Maintain department inventory and equipment specification files.
  • Assist with departmental reports and provide weekly reviews of work completed.

Requirements:

  • Proven background in 1st/2nd Line Support Analyst within a Service Desk environment.
  • Excellent technical knowledge of Windows Operating Systems and Microsoft Office Software.
  • Good working knowledge of Microsoft Windows Server and Active Directory Network Services.
  • Good working knowledge of Microsoft Exchange.
  • Customer-focused with experience of providing advice and guidance to customers.
  • Organised and methodical with ability to work to targets and goals unsupervised.
  • Enthusiastic, self-motivated team player with logical approach to problem solving.
