Job Title

Workforce Planning Lead

We are seeking a skilled Workforce Planning Lead to lead our demand forecasting and planning efforts in the UK.

The successful candidate will be responsible for developing intra-hour requirements for Out of Hours (OOH) and Clinical Assessment Service (CAS) based on historical patterns, with occasional travel to other sites and homeworking options available.

About the Role

The ideal candidate will have experience in workforce planning, with strong analytical and problem-solving skills, specifically in forecasting demand and scheduling large numbers of staff.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Demand forecasting and developing intra-hour requirements for OOH and CAS services, including creating resource requirements based on forecast activity and service needs
  • Leading a team of Workforce Planning Co-ordinators, providing support and insight to service managers and dealing with ad-hoc requests
  • Building and maintaining forecasting documents and planning schedules, collaborating with stakeholders to identify gaps in reporting and implementing new reports
  • Performance reporting and insight, working with finance to set annual budget plans for all OOH/CAS services

Skill Requirements:

  • Ability to make decisions under pressure, with I.T. Literacy and proficiency in basic IT packages
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with experience in interpreting and analysing data
  • Experience in forecasting demand and scheduling large numbers of staff, with a competitive salary of up to £44,000 per annum
