About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Guest Reservation Coordinator to join our team at Mandarin Oriental Hotel Group.

In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining effective communication on all reservations made to ensure smooth and efficient service delivery.

You will process and confirm guest room reservations, verify availability of room type and rate, and explain guarantee, special rate, and cancellation policies to callers.

You will also accommodate and document special requests, answer questions about property facilities/services and room accommodations, and follow sales techniques to maximize revenue.

Additionally, you will maintain established filing systems for all correspondence, collate reports as required by Reservations Manager or Supervisor, and organize visa requests for hotel guests as per hotel policy.

As a key member of our team, you will ensure that all requests are handled in the time frame set by the company and apply required departmental standards in LQE, MOQA, and Forbes.

**Key Responsibilities:**

  • Maintain effective communication on all reservations made
  • Process and confirm guest room reservations
  • Verify availability of room type and rate
  • Explain guarantee, special rate, and cancellation policies to callers
  • Accommodate and document special requests

**Requirements:

  • Ability to understand guest needs and expectations
  • Clear communication; effective verbal and written communication skills in English
  • Friendly personality with excellent interpersonal skills and a can-do attitude
  • A minimum of 1-year experience in a hotel and/or administrative position selling in hospitality
  • Previous work experience in Reservations or Front Office

**Salary Estimate:** $50,000 - $65,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications.
