Maternal Health Initiative Lead

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to join our team as a Maternal Health Initiative Lead. In this role, you will be responsible for leading a programme aimed at improving maternal health outcomes, with a focus on breastfeeding support.
About the RoleThis is an exciting opportunity for a motivated and results-driven individual who is passionate about improving maternal health outcomes. You will be responsible for leading a programme that includes coordinating breastfeeding services, providing training and clinical supervision, and collecting and analysing data to inform service development.
Key Responsibilities- Lead a programme aimed at improving maternal health outcomes, with a focus on breastfeeding support
- Coordinate breastfeeding services across the Trust, ensuring effective delivery and monitoring of services
- Provide training and clinical supervision to healthcare professionals on breastfeeding best practice
- Collect and analyse data to inform service development and improvement
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A recognised qualification in breastfeeding counselling or equivalent experience
- Significant experience of working in a health promotion setting, preferably within the NHS or local authority
- Excellent leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and direct a team
- Proficient IT skills, including Microsoft Office
The estimated salary for this role is £45,000 - £55,000 per annum, depending on experience.
