As a Developmental Health Care Professional, you will play a key role in providing high-quality health care services to individuals with learning disabilities in the West Community Learning Disability Team. This is a full-time, substantive post for a registered nurse, requiring experience of working with adults with learning disabilities who have additional identified complex health needs.

The successful candidate will have excellent communication skills and the ability to reflect on and critically appraise their own performance. You will also have documented evidence of continuing professional development and awareness of legislation and policy relevant to the provision of health and social care for those with learning disabilities.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Work within a multi-disciplinary team to provide health assessment and therapeutic intervention for adults with learning disabilities who have additional identified complex health needs.
  • Develop a therapeutic relationship to work in partnership with people who have a learning disability, carers, professionals, and other agencies.
  • Assess care needs and develop, implement, and evaluate episodes of care.

Salary: Estimated £35,000 - £45,000 per annum depending on experience.
