We are currently seeking an exceptional School Receptionist to join our team at Tradewind Recruitment. This is a unique opportunity to work in a dynamic and supportive environment, where you will play a crucial role in maintaining the smooth operation of the school.

As the primary point of contact for visitors, students, and staff, you will be responsible for greeting visitors, answering calls, responding to inquiries, and directing individuals to appropriate staff members. You will also be involved in visitor management, student assistance, administrative support, attendance and record-keeping, document preparation, and event coordination.

To succeed in this role, you will need a valid DBS certificate and proficiency in Microsoft Office. A competitive salary of £25,000 - £30,000 per annum is on offer, reflecting the importance of this role in the daily life of the school.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the reception area, ensuring a welcoming environment for visitors and students.
  • Answer calls, respond to inquiries, and direct individuals to appropriate staff members.
  • Assist students with day-to-day needs, such as issuing passes, helping with schedule inquiries, and answering questions.
  • Provide administrative assistance to the school's leadership team, teachers, and other staff members, including managing emails, organising files, and maintaining records.
  • Update and manage attendance records, follow up on absences, and maintain student data systems in compliance with school policies.
  • Prepare letters, reports, newsletters, and other documents for school communication, ensuring high standards of accuracy and presentation.
  • Support the organisation of school events, such as parent-teacher meetings, open days, and assemblies, coordinating communications and logistics as needed.

Required Qualifications and Skills:

  • Previous experience in a receptionist, administrative, or school-based role is preferred.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and familiarity with school management software or data entry systems is advantageous.
  • A valid DBS certificate is required.
