Smart DCC is a leading organization in the field of smart metering and regulation. Our team is responsible for managing engagement with key regulatory stakeholders to shape our regulatory framework.

The Role

We are seeking an experienced Regulatory Engagement Manager to join our team. As a key member of our Regulatory Engagement team, you will be responsible for managing interactions at Smart Meter Implementation Programme governance groups, supporting programme decision-making, and engaging with regulatory stakeholders to achieve our business strategy and growth ambitions.

  1. Managing Regulatory Interactions

You will manage DCC's interactions at Smart Meter Implementation Programme governance groups, including planning, risk management, issue management, and change control. You will work closely with internal stakeholders to ensure alignment in our messaging and information sharing.

Engaging Regulatory Stakeholders

You will support DCC Subject Matter Experts to engage and influence regulatory stakeholders to achieve the delivery of our wider business strategy and growth ambitions. This includes building relationships, collaborating across organizations, and facilitating discussions with internal and external representatives.

Regulatory Analysis and Reporting

You will identify, escalate, and report on material issues arising in DCC's work with regulators, including within the Strategy and Regulation function and to relevant senior management. You will also horizon scan and work with Government, Regulators, and customers to understand their priorities for systems enhancements and delivery of new policy interventions.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Proven track record of building relationships and collaborating across organizations.
  • Possess high-quality facilitation and organizational skills, with experience of engaging (and where necessary challenging) a wide range of internal and external representatives up to and including senior executives.
  • Experience working with or in a Major Projects in government (desirable).
