Role Overview

We are seeking a Philanthropy and Partnerships Director to join our team at Scottish Opera. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing fundraising strategies to support our artistic programme.

This is a full-time, permanent position based in Glasgow with occasional travel across Scotland.

Job Description

The Philanthropy and Partnerships Director will be responsible for:

  • Developing and maintaining relationships with donors, sponsors, and partners
  • Researching and identifying new funding opportunities
  • Creating compelling cases for support and proposals for funding
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver fundraising initiatives

Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • A degree in a relevant field (e.g. business, marketing, philanthropy)
  • Proven experience in fundraising or a related field
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
