About the Role

We are seeking a Recruitment and Employee Relations Specialist to join our Ampian HR team in Erdington, Birmingham. This is a site-based role with regular working hours of 8:30 am to 5 pm, Monday to Thursday, and 8:30 am to 4 pm on Fridays.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain all HR systems and data to ensure accuracy and up-to-dateness
  • Prepare and manage job adverts, application forms, shortlisting, and sifting CVs, interviewing, and selecting candidates
  • Develop job descriptions and person specifications
  • Produce and issue offer letters and employee contracts
  • Liaise with hiring managers for vacancies in head office and stores
  • Induct new employees into the company
  • Ensure all new starter paperwork is completed and relevant information is provided to payroll
  • Support and lead formal meetings, such as disciplinary, grievances, and flexible working applications
  • Organise HR documents in preparation for meetings
Requirements

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • Previous experience working within an HR environment
  • Familiarity with the full recruitment and selection cycle
  • Advanced skills in Excel, including Macros, complex formulas, V-Look Ups, and combining multiple cells of data
  • Good verbal and written communication skills
  • Well-organised and able to prioritise workloads
  • Up-to-date knowledge of legislation

Ampian HR offers a competitive salary based on experience, ranging from £30,000 to £40,000 per annum, depending on qualifications and performance. Additionally, we offer:

The estimated salary range is £32,500 - £42,000 per year, based on the location and industry standards.
