Job Summary

This role requires a highly skilled Employee Relations Specialist to manage complex ER issues and provide advisory support to managers. The ideal candidate will have experience in employment law, HR case management systems, and be CIPD qualified or willing to pursue further studies.

About the Role

This is a hybrid role that involves working 2 days per week in an office (Bristol or Birmingham) with flexible working available. You will be part of a wider customer service-focused People Support team, Mitie's central HR function, and collaborate with experts in our legal team. Your primary responsibilities will include managing your own caseload of complex ER issues, utilising technology to deliver a quality service to customers across the UK and Europe, and conducting ER policy and process reviews.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage a caseload of complex ER issues using knowledge of employment law and ER best practice
  • Utilise HR case management systems to remotely deliver a quality service to customers
  • Conduct ER policy and process reviews to identify areas for improvement
  • Collaborate with experts in our legal team to manage Early Conciliation and ET claims
Requirements

We are looking for a professional with:

  • CIPD qualified or willingness to pursue further studies
  • Experience in employment law and ER best practice
  • Proficient IT skills, including MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Experience using HR case management systems
  • An understanding of HR systems and processes
  • Up-to-date working knowledge of current employment law
Salary and Benefits
