Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Patient Transport Liaison Officer to join our team at EMED Group. This role is a key part of our operations, and the successful candidate will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth flow of patients through our hospital network.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide liaison and coordination services between hospitals and our operations team to ensure seamless patient transport.
  • Attend site and bed meetings to understand demands placed upon the hospital and identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Act as the point of contact for escalation for designated trusts, handling patient queries, risk assessments, and other issues.
  • Collaborate with bed managers and EMED managers to provide assistance with patient flows in the hospital environment.
  • Work closely with operational managers to resolve issues that arise throughout the day.
  • Deal with patient enquiries and questions in a professional and timely manner.
Requirements
  • Commitment to patient care and a thorough understanding of Non-Emergency Patient Transport services.
  • Experience working in a healthcare or hospital setting, with excellent communication skills and the ability to explain decisions made.
  • Ability to plan and prioritise own workload, with a strong focus on patient flow and transport.
  • Physical fitness for patient moving and handling, with a full manual UK driving licence and less than 6 penalty points.
