About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Children's Social Worker to join our Safeguarding & Family Support Service. This is an exciting opportunity to make a positive difference in the lives of children and families in Southwark.

As a Senior Social Worker, you will play a key role in ensuring the safety and well-being of children in our care. You will be responsible for building positive relationships with children, their families, and partner agencies, and for developing and implementing effective plans to support children and families.

You will work closely with our experienced Team Managers to provide guidance and support to junior staff members, and to contribute to the development of best practice and confident practitioners through coaching and mentoring.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in social work, including experience in direct social work interventions, investigations, assessments, and care planning. They will also have excellent communication, analytical, and decision-making skills, and a commitment to anti-discriminatory practices and promoting equality.
