Job Description:

Fleet Education Services is a leading provider of alternative and supplementary education, working with schools and local authorities to deliver one-to-one and small group tuition. We are seeking an experienced Academic Learning Support Specialist to join our team.

Role Overview:

As an Academic Learning Support Specialist, you will be responsible for designing and delivering personalized lessons that engage and support learners across the UK. Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Developing and implementing tailored learning plans to meet the needs of diverse students.
  • Providing constructive feedback and guidance to enhance learning outcomes.
  • Collaborating with parents, guardians, and schools to ensure academic success.
  • Maintaining accurate records through our virtual learning platform.
Key Responsibilities:

The successful candidate will have experience working with children who present with Special Educational Needs (SEN), Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs, or other complex requirements. Key qualifications include:

  • A Bachelor's degree or equivalent qualification.
  • Minimum of 6 months teaching or tutoring experience in the UK.
  • Eligibility to live and work in the UK.
  • Willingness to undergo an enhanced DBS check and subscribe to the DBS Update Service.

Location:

This role is available throughout Southwark, with opportunities for in-person tuition only. The estimated salary for this position is £25-£35 per hour, depending on experience.
