About the Role

The successful candidate will play a vital part in the academic development and in-school engagement of a student with autism. Key responsibilities include developing and preparing materials to inspire individual learning, maintaining accurate records of pupil observations, and collaborating with the school's SENCo and Class Teachers.

This Autism Support Assistant role offers extensive in-house and external training to further develop your skill set and support you in delivering high-quality care. If you possess a patient, calming manner and are able to work effectively under supervision, we encourage you to apply.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and prepare materials designed to inspire individual learning
  • Maintain written records of pupil observations and provide feedback to parents
  • Carry out general TA responsibilities in class as required
  • Work under the supervision of the school SENCo and various Class Teachers
  • Provide effective support to this student, helping to build social confidence and academic engagement

Requirements:

  • Hold a Psychology or related degree from a Top 20 UK University
  • Experience working with children is desirable but not required
  • Patient, calming manner with ability to support others

Benefits:

  • $22,000 - $25,000 per year (pro-rata), depending on experience
