Early Years Teaching Assistant Position

We are partnering with a friendly and welcoming primary school in Southwark to recruit an Early Years Teaching Assistant to support one of their reception classes starting in September.
This role involves working closely with children who have speech and language difficulties and exhibit traits of SEND (ASC and ADHD).
The Role:
- Create a learning environment that provides pupils with a safe, happy, and positive place to learn.
- Assist the class teacher with planning learning activities.
- Implement school policies and practices in line with the school's ethos.
- Supervise and lead small groups of children.
- Support pupils with additional learning needs.
- Foster a creative and inclusive curriculum that values learning.
Requirements:
- A minimum of a 2:1 degree in Psychology or Education from a top UK university.
- Experience working with EYFS children.
- Comfort with personal care tasks.
- Ideally, some experience working with children with SEND.
- A confident and bubbly personality.
- Aspiring EYFS/Primary teachers are encouraged to apply.
As an Early Years Teaching Assistant, you will gain valuable experience working with EYFS children and build a strong foundation for your future career, whether in teaching or specializing in SEND/SEMH (Social, Emotional, and Mental Health).
