**Role Summary**

We are seeking a Youth Outreach and Intervention Coordinator to join our team at Academics in Woking. This role is perfect for individuals motivated by supporting and helping others, and passionate about demonstrating the value of education.

The successful candidate will have essential restorative experience within anti-social and challenging settings, with a focus on holistic and therapeutic practice. As an Aspiring Probation Officer / Prison Officer Learning/ Support Assistant, you will work alongside teachers and specialist staff to support students with special educational needs (SEN), and a range of associated social, emotional and mental health (SEMH) challenges and traumas.

In this dynamic role, you will have the opportunity to increase student engagement, attainment, and life chances, aiming to ensure they do not enter the criminal justice system. Your expertise in Criminology and Psychology will be invaluable in delivering restorative practice and providing support to students who have suffered adverse childhood experiences.

**Key Responsibilities:**

  • To provide support and guidance to students with SEN and SEMH challenges
  • To work collaboratively with teachers and specialist staff to develop individualized learning plans
  • To deliver restorative practice and intervention programs to promote positive behavior change
