Youth Wellbeing Coordinator

As a Youth Wellbeing Coordinator at CV-Library, you will play a vital role in supporting the mental health and wellbeing of vulnerable young people in our specialist school near Guildford, Surrey.

The successful candidate will work with students aged 10-16 who have experienced trauma and adverse childhood experiences, providing empathetic and supportive relationships to help them overcome their challenges.

This is a challenging but rewarding role that requires a recent Psychology or Criminology Graduate with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Key responsibilities include safeguarding and supporting students with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs, as well as identifying risks and escalating where necessary.

We offer an estimated salary of £26,000 - £33,000 per year, depending on experience, plus excellent training, support, and opportunities for growth and development.

About the Role

  • You will be responsible for providing individualised support to students, working closely with teachers and other professionals to ensure the best possible outcomes.
  • You will contribute to the development of policies and procedures related to student wellbeing and safeguarding.
  • You will work collaboratively with external agencies to provide additional support and resources for students and their families.

Requirements

  • Recent Psychology or Criminology Graduate with a strong understanding of child development and mental health principles.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with students, staff, and external agencies.
  • Enhanced DBS and/or overseas police check as required.
