About the Role

We are seeking an exceptional Therapeutic Support Worker to join our team at a specialist school in Woking. The successful candidate will work with students who have social, emotional and mental health (SEMH) needs, and associated challenging behaviours.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Provide high-quality support to students, promoting their academic, social and emotional well-being.
  2. Develop and maintain robust relationships with students, staff and parents to ensure effective communication and collaboration.
  3. Support students in managing their behaviour, developing coping strategies and improving their overall resilience.
  4. Liaise with teachers, therapists and other professionals to ensure a comprehensive and coordinated approach to student support.
  5. Maintain accurate records of student progress, incidents and interventions.
Requirements
  • Able to work effectively with vulnerable children, using empathy and understanding to build trust and rapport.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with students, staff and parents.
  • High levels of energy, patience and resilience, with the ability to remain calm in challenging situations.
  • A strong commitment to delivering high-quality support, with a focus on student outcomes and achievement.
