Job Description:

Are you passionate about working with vulnerable children who have experienced trauma and adversity? We are seeking a dedicated and caring individual to join our team as a Community Support Worker at a specialist SEMH school near Woking.

About the Role:

This is an exciting opportunity for someone looking to make a difference in the lives of children with social, emotional, and mental health (SEMH) needs. As a Community Support Worker, you will work closely with students, staff, and families to provide support and guidance, helping them to overcome challenges and achieve their full potential.

The ideal candidate will be passionate about education and personal development, with excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively. You will be able to build strong relationships with students, staff, and families, and remain calm and resilient in situations of stress or conflict.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide one-to-one and group support to students with SEMH needs
  • Work collaboratively with teachers, therapists, and other professionals to develop and implement individualized plans
  • Support students in achieving their educational and personal goals
  • Communicate effectively with students, staff, and families to ensure seamless transitions and outcomes
Person Specification:
  • Passionate about working with vulnerable children and young people
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Able to build strong relationships with students, staff, and families
  • Remain calm and resilient in situations of stress or conflict
What We Offer:

We offer a competitive salary of £80-£100 per day, paid term-time only, Monday to Friday, 08:30-15:30. Excellent on-site training and support are provided to ensure the safeguarding of all students. No previous experience is required, but you must have the right to work in the UK.
