Customer Experience Operations Manager

We are seeking a seasoned professional to join our team as a Customer Experience Duty Manager at London North Eastern Railway. In this role, you will be responsible for leading a large team of on-train crew members to provide an exceptional customer experience on our trains. With circa 50+ team members under your supervision, you will ensure that services are fully crewed and make contingency arrangements when necessary.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead a team of on-train crew members to deliver excellent customer service
  • Ensure services are fully crewed and make contingency arrangements when necessary
  • Sustain engagement, motivation, and capability of the team using LNER processes and initiatives

As a seasoned leader, you will work collaboratively with On Train Delivery Managers and On-Train Skills and Competency Managers to develop effective teams through coaching and development. You will also contribute to creating a learning culture within the organization, supporting employees in their career growth and development. The ideal candidate should possess strong leadership skills, have experience managing large teams, and be familiar with employment law.

This is a fixed-term position lasting six months, offering competitive compensation. The estimated salary for this role ranges from £65,000 to £80,000 per annum, depending on qualifications and experience. Benefits include free travel on LNER, 75% off other companies' tickets, and discounts on international train tickets.
