Mental Health Specialist

Band 6 crisis resolution and home treatment team posts are available in Derby City and surrounding areas.
We are seeking a dynamic, confident, and motivated Mental Health Nurse/Occupational Therapist or Social Worker with excellent communication skills to assess and lead on clinical decision-making.
This is an opportunity for secondment/fixed team contracts up to 12 months or permanent full-time/part-time positions.
Main Job Responsibilities- To provide initial assessments of individuals experiencing acute mental health difficulties and serve as gatekeepers to hospital admissions.
- To rapidly assess people with mental health problems who are vulnerable to hospital admission.
- To conduct specialist crisis assessments focusing on 'hospital at home' interventions.
- To coordinate the Crisis and Home Treatment Team on a shift-by-shift basis, acting as Duty Worker to triage referrals, plan activities, and manage team members accordingly.

The estimated salary range for this position is approximately £34,000 - £40,000 per annum based on location and experience.
