Mental Health Specialist Lead Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Mental Health Specialist to lead our CAMHS team in Derby. This is a challenging and rewarding opportunity for a skilled professional to join our dynamic team.

About the Team

Our CAMHS team works across the City and South County providing intervention and review of young people with a range of mental health needs. We are committed to delivering high-quality care and services that meet the needs of our clients.

Main Responsibilities
  • Coordinate the delivery of interventions such as family work, solution-focused therapy, cognitive therapy, behavioral management, individual counseling, and group work.
  • Liaise with other professionals, offer consultation, and joint working to provide early interventions in and prevention of mental health problems in young people.
Skills Required

The ideal candidate will have knowledge and understanding of mental health disorders within children, as well as skills in risk assessment and management of self-harm. They must be able to meet the travel requirements of the post.

Salary and Benefits

The successful candidate will receive a competitive salary of £40,257 - £50,006 per annum, depending on experience. Other benefits include:

  • 27 days annual leave/year plus bank holidays, increasing to 29 days after 5 years & 33 days after 10 years' service.
