Join us as a Mental Health Support Specialist at Derbyshire Community Health Services NHS Foundation Trust. In this role, you will provide critical support to staff and patients in reducing restrictive practices and improving care outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with staff to identify areas for improvement and develop training programs to address these gaps
  • Deliver training sessions on topics such as de-escalation skills, person-centered care, and positive behavioral support
  • Work closely with multidisciplinary teams to implement effective care plans and ensure compliance with national guidelines

Requirements:

  • Degree or equivalent clinical experience
  • Completion of the Train the Trainers programme (2 weeks residential) via WLMHT to RRN standards
  • Teaching qualification, relevant teaching/training/clinical experience, or willingness to undertake
  • Relevant experience of working in a healthcare setting
  • Significant knowledge and experience of directing initiatives to reduce restrictive practice
  • Ability to work independently and prioritize effectively

Estimated salary range: £40,000 - £55,000 per annum, depending on experience. We offer a comprehensive benefits package, including professional development opportunities and a supportive work environment.
