Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Human Resources Consultant to join our team in Northampton, supporting the Director and 200 employees across 9 UK sites. The ideal candidate will have expertise in UK employment law and be able to drive business growth through strategic HR practices.

Main Responsibilities:
  1. Provide first-line support to managers and employees on employee relations matters
  2. Develop and implement HR policies and procedures that align with business objectives
  3. Handle employee inquiries, offering guidance and escalating when necessary
  4. Oversee employee life cycles, from recruitment to offboarding, ensuring seamless transitions
  5. Assist with interviews for head office and middle management positions
  6. Offer day-to-day HR support on operational issues, including attending and documenting disciplinary actions and grievances
  7. Foster staff retention and identify ways to improve it
Required Skills and Experience:
  1. Prior experience as an HR generalist
  2. In-depth knowledge of UK employment laws, regulations, and best practices
  3. A high level of confidentiality, tact, and diplomacy
  4. Strong relationship-building skills
  5. Flexibility and adaptability in a fast-paced environment
  6. Proficiency in IT systems and Microsoft Office
  7. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision

The successful candidate can expect a salary range of £32,000 - £35,000 per annum, depending on experience.
