We are seeking a skilled and experienced Hearing Centre Casework Manager to join our team at the Driver and Vehicle Standards Agency (DVSA).

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare and manage public inquiry and other hearing cases to be heard by Traffic Commissioners.
  • Ensure that letters calling parties to the hearings, and evidence bundles are completed in accordance with statutory documents, operating instructions, and service level agreements.
  • Progress actions arising from hearings, maintain a clear record of outcomes, and refer cases to relevant teams as necessary.
  • Make and progress evidence-based decisions on cases under delegated authority, in accordance with statutory documents and operating instructions.
  • Attend meetings with stakeholders, including operators, industry representatives, and enforcement agencies.
  • Draft responses to letters received from stakeholders, providing advice and guidance as required.
Working with Us

You will work closely with the Hearing Centre Casework Officers, providing case management support, mentoring, and coaching to share knowledge and improve quality and standards.

You will also engage with Traffic Commissioners and OTC staff in other hearing centres, the compliance casework team, and licensing teams to ensure a joined-up approach to all functions.

As a Hearing Centre Casework Manager, you will represent the Traffic Commissioner at meetings with stakeholders and provide briefing or supporting documents as required.
