About the Role

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Casework Officer to join our team at the Driver and Vehicle Standards Agency (DVSA). As a key member of our Licensing and Regulation team, you will play a crucial role in processing new and variation applications for goods vehicle and public passenger vehicles operator licenses and bus registrations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Process new and variation applications for goods vehicle and public passenger vehicles operator licenses and bus registrations, ensuring accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Manage a caseload of competing deadlines and tasks, prioritizing and organizing work to meet legislative requirements and guidelines set by the Traffic Commissioner.
  • Provide exceptional customer service, responding to customer inquiries and offering advice and assistance where possible.
  • Liaise with internal and external departments to ensure customer needs are met and requirements are fully communicated throughout the business.
  • Execute responsibilities effectively, ensuring daily tasks and activities are delivered against agreed objectives.
Person Specification

To be successful in this role, you will be someone who is thorough with their work, has exceptional attention to detail, and a proactive approach to problem-solving. You will also have experience in delivering excellent customer service and be confident in communicating with customers through various channels.

You will thrive in a busy environment, managing a varied workload and balancing and prioritizing tasks. Your excellent verbal and written communication skills will enable you to effectively deliver messages to others, ensuring clarity and understanding.
