About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Enforcement Compliance Officer to join our team at the Driver and Vehicle Licensing Agency (DVLA). As a key member of our enforcement team, you will play a pivotal role in representing the DVLA at Magistrates' Courts as a Prosecutor, for vehicle tax and insurance-related offences.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage cases for vehicle enforcement at the Prosecution stage, ensuring accurate and timely decision-making.
  • Conduct thorough checks of facts and documents on DVLA systems to support case preparation and court proceedings.
  • Communicate effectively with customers through correspondence, phone calls, and in-person interactions, providing education and guidance on compliance.
  • Prepare and present cases in Magistrates' Court, ensuring adherence to legislation and timeframes.
  • Collaborate with other enforcement agencies, such as the Police and Trading Standards, to support operations and achieve compliance.

Requirements

  • Hold a full valid UK driving license and be willing to travel frequently to attend court.
  • Have a high level of accuracy and exceptional organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple cases and deadlines.
  • Be a professional, confident, and credible communicator with excellent interpersonal skills, able to build relationships with stakeholders of varying seniority levels.
  • Have experience within an enforcement or audit environment, with a strong understanding of compliance and regulatory requirements.
