Deputy Technical Manager

The Financial Reporting Council (FRC) is seeking a highly skilled individual to join its team as a Deputy Technical Manager. The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting the work of the UK Endorsement Board (UKEB) in assessing International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) for adoption in the UK.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Collaborating with the UKEB team to assess IFRS accounting standards for application by UK entities;
  • Influencing the development of IFRS accounting standards;
  • Undertaking thought-leadership activities to contribute to the international development of financial reporting;
  • Managing complex projects, including setting and meeting deadlines and managing working groups;
  • Working with the Director and other senior Secretariat team to ensure on-going team management and development.

The ideal candidate will have a strong knowledge of the financial reporting environment of listed companies and a keen interest in IFRS. They will also have experience of working in accountancy, corporate law or a financial function in capital markets, and be able to manage complex projects.
