Debt Recovery Specialist

We are seeking a skilled Debt Recovery Specialist to join our team within Finance. This role involves providing proactive recovery of adult social care accounts and sundry income, as well as case managing customer accounts.
The successful candidate will engage with residents and businesses via telephone and email to recover outstanding debts, particularly for Adult Social Care and other sundry debtors.
The salary for this position is £25,584 - £27,269 per annum, with the opportunity to work in a hybrid environment.
- Take ownership of case work to accurately review and maintain accounts.
- Correspond with residents and businesses by email and phone contact (inbound and outbound).
This new role requires a high level of organization and interpersonal skills to maintain sundry debt accounts, liaising with internal and external account holders, particularly Adult Social Care clients and other organizations.
- Experience in Finance and/or debt recovery environment.
- Experience using office IT applications, including Microsoft Office.
- Ability to analyze data and information to inform solutions and identify inaccuracies.
- Confidence in building rapport and dealing with customers and working with team members and services.
- Flexibility to support the team's core work and objectives.
- Effective organizational and interpersonal skills.
- Effective communication, influencing, and negotiation skills.
