Join Our Team as a Youth Welfare Coordinator

We are seeking a dedicated Social Worker to join our team in the South East of England. This is a permanent/temporary position offering a competitive salary of £40,000 - £48,000 per annum, depending on experience.

Key Responsibilities:

We are looking for a skilled Social Worker to collaborate with families, conduct assessments, and develop SMART plans to ensure children's welfare and reduce risks. The ideal candidate will have a professional qualification in social work, registration with the relevant professional body, and substantial experience working with children and young people.

  • Collaborate with families, respecting their rights and working in partnership to identify strengths and support their needs.
  • Conduct assessments to determine the level of risk and develop SMART (Specific, Measurable, Achievable, Relevant, Time-bound) plans to ensure children's welfare and reduce risks.
  • Facilitate multi-agency meetings and child protection investigations when necessary.


Requirements:

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • A professional qualification in social work (e.g., CQSW, DipSW) and registration or eligibility for registration with the relevant professional body.
  • Substantial experience in working with children and young people, ideally in a statutory setting.
  • Up-to-date knowledge of child care law, statutory guidance, and safeguarding practices (e.g., Working Together 2018).
