**Join Police Care UK as our Fundraising Assistant**
**About Us**: At Police Care UK, we're dedicated to reducing the impact of harm on police and their families. With roots tracing back to 1926, we've evolved from two merged charities, the Police Dependants’ Trust and The National Police Fund, to become leaders in the blue light sector. Our mission is to provide ground-breaking research and programs nationwide, supporting officers coping with exposure to trauma. **Why You?** As a Fundraising Assistant, you will play a vital role in our fundraising efforts. We are seeking a team player who can effectively manage our systems and data, contribute to achieving our fundraising targets, and provide top-notch support to our charity supporters, volunteers, and partners.
**Main Responsibilities**:
- Provide excellent customer service by promptly responding to all communications and keeping our systems updated.
- Help with our online fundraising system, guiding and motivating participants while maintaining regular contact.
- Keep our charity database up to date by creating and updating relevant records.
- Coordinate the production of fundraising materials and ensure they are stocked and up to date.
- Support our donors by providing them with information and materials to aid their fundraising efforts.
- Manage all outgoing thank-you letters and handle all postal duties for the fundraising team.
- Stay up to date with relevant fundraising regulations and best practices and ensure compliance.
- Work closely with colleagues to maintain consistency in our charity's message within community fundraising activities.
- Provide regular reports to the Head of Fundraising and support the team with other tasks as needed.
- Establish and maintain excellent working relationships with colleagues across Police Care UK, providing guidance on optimizing all fundraising opportunities, including digital channels.
**What We're Looking For**:
- Customer care experience in a charity or sales environment.
- Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, along with excellent organisational abilities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Word and Excel
- Proactive, highly self-motivated, and driven to provide the very best supporter experience.
- An understanding of Police Care UK’s mission and strategy, coupled with empathy towards the police service and the welfare needs of police officers and their families.
**Desirable**:
- Work experience in fundraising for charities,
- Familiarity with donor insight and engagement journeys.
