Financial Operations Specialist
We're seeking a highly skilled Financial Operations Specialist to manage the creditors ledger of our organisation. This role involves ensuring that invoices follow the correct procedures, are accounted for correctly, and managing supplier relationships.
Key Responsibilities
- Process and code invoices and credit notes accurately in the system.
- Prepare and process supplier payment runs efficiently.
- Oversee the Creditor ledger, ensuring all transactions are up-to-date and accurate.
- Ensure invoices flow through the correct approval processes before payment.
- Communicate with suppliers to resolve invoicing or payment queries.
- Prepare monthly supplier statement reconciliations.
- Support the order process with suppliers and the purchasing department as needed.
- Compile month-end accruals as required.
- Contribute to updating the business cashflow model.
- Handle external and internal queries via phone and email.
- Ensure all accounts payable activities comply with relevant financial policies and procedures.
- Manage supplier account terms and set up new suppliers.
- Maintain vehicle documents and provide support to the scheduling department.
- Investigate and resolve outstanding creditor items.
- Perform other duties as required.
Requirements and Qualifications
- Working knowledge of general accounting procedures.
- Ability to work meticulously and pay close attention to detail.
- IT literacy, including knowledge of relevant accounting software Sage 50.
- Strong organisational skills, handling high volumes of invoices.
- Excellent communication skills, including active listening and clear information relay.
- Ability to build effective relationships with suppliers and creditors.
- Ability to work well in a team and collaborate with others.
- Experience working in a similar role.
