About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Finance Assistant to manage our creditors ledger, ensuring invoices are processed correctly and supplier relationships are maintained.
Key Responsibilities
- Process invoices and credit notes, ensuring accurate coding in our system.
- Prepare and process supplier payment runs, maintaining a high level of accuracy.
- Oversee the Creditor ledger, ensuring all activities comply with financial policies and procedures.
- Communicate with suppliers to resolve invoicing or payment queries.
- Prepare monthly supplier statement reconciliations, identifying and resolving any discrepancies.
- Support the order process with suppliers and the purchasing department as needed.
- Compile month-end accruals, ensuring accurate financial reporting.
- Contribute to updating our business cashflow model, providing valuable insights.
- Respond to internal and external queries, providing excellent customer service.
- Manage supplier account terms, setting up new suppliers as required.
- Maintain vehicle documents, providing support to the scheduling department.
- Investigate and resolve outstanding creditor items, ensuring prompt resolution.
Requirements
- Working knowledge of general accounting procedures.
- Ability to work meticulously, with attention to detail.
- IT literacy, including knowledge of relevant accounting software Sage 50.
- Strong organisational skills, handling high volumes of invoices.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to build effective relationships.
- Ability to work well in a team, collaborating with others.
- Experience working in a similar role, with a strong understanding of financial procedures.
