We are currently seeking a skilled and motivated Nuclear Project Engineer to join our client's team on the Sizewell nuclear new build project. This contract role, based in London with hybrid working options, will provide an exciting opportunity for a graduate or experienced professional to contribute to the successful delivery of this major infrastructure project.

About the Role

We are looking for a talented individual who can support either the Design Manager or the Engineering & Technical Project Manager within the Civil Works Programme. As a Nuclear Project Engineer, you will be responsible for providing technical assistance and collaboration within a technically orientated delivery team, with a focus on heavy civil engineering structures, including reinforced concrete and structural steel, and familiarity with current design standards and working practices.

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who wants to work on a high-profile project and develop their skills in a collaborative environment.

**Salary:** £50,000 - £65,000 per annum

Responsibilities:
  • Support the definition or validation of SZC Technical Requirements and Specification.
  • Manage technical Open Points and Design Changes, including progression through technical governance processes.
  • Ensure Design Technical Assurance for end-to-end design and SZC acceptance.
  • Contribute to risk management through Risk Management Processes.
  • Provide technical input for Early Warnings, Compensation Events, Technical Queries, General Communications, etc.

Requirements:

  • Knowledge of design activities in heavy civil engineering structures, including reinforced concrete and structural steel, and familiarity with current design standards and working practices.
  • Experience in providing technical assistance and collaboration within a technically orientated delivery team.
  • Ability to communicate and engage effectively within the project team and across a range of levels.
