Are you a seasoned mechanical engineer looking to apply your expertise in a dynamic project environment?

We're seeking an experienced Mechanical Commissioning Engineer to join our team at the National Nuclear Laboratory. As part of our Engineering group, you'll play a pivotal role in ensuring the safe delivery of projects within our operational nuclear facilities.

This challenging role will require you to contribute to novel engineering solutions while maintaining safety and quality standards. Your extensive experience in the nuclear industry, combined with your commissioning skills, will enable you to deliver high-quality results and drive projects from initial specification to delivery.

The ideal candidate will have a time-served indentured Mechanical/Process Apprenticeship and a minimum ONC or equivalent qualification in mechanical or Process Engineering. You should also possess demonstrable engineering experience in the nuclear industry, as well as commissioning experience, preferably in a project environment.

In addition to your technical expertise, we're looking for someone who can provide commissioning progress reporting, supervise third parties when required, and take part in internal and external audits. You should also be able to gain a Process Plant & Equipment (PP&E) nomination to carry out Plant Isolations for others.

The salary for this position is estimated to be around £60,000 - £80,000 per annum, depending on experience. As a valued member of our team, you'll enjoy a comprehensive benefits package and opportunities for professional growth and development.

To succeed in this role, you'll need to display professional conduct at all times, be self-motivated, and work collaboratively as part of an integrated team. Travel between NNL sites and customer locations may be required, but don't worry – we'll support you every step of the way.
