We are seeking an experienced and skilled Senior Nuclear Commissioning Engineer to join our Engineering team. As part of this role, you will be responsible for delivering project activities within an operational nuclear facility, ensuring safe and compliant execution.

Job Description

This is a unique opportunity to use your expertise in commissioning engineering to contribute to the development of novel solutions, while maintaining high standards of safety and quality.

You will work collaboratively with our team to deliver projects from initial specification through to delivery of an operational asset, focusing on commissioning elements throughout.

Your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Carrying out commissioning performance and safety testing, documenting results accurately
  • Marking up engineering drawings/documentation to reflect the 'as-built' condition of installed and commissioned plant and equipment
  • Documenting design, installation, quality performance, and safety non-conformances
  • Providing commissioning progress reporting when required
  • Supervising third parties when necessary
Salary and Benefits

The estimated annual salary for this position is £65,000-£85,000, depending on experience, plus a comprehensive benefits package, including pension scheme, life assurance, and health insurance.

Required Skills and Qualifications

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • A time-served indentured EC&I Apprenticeship
  • A minimum ONC or equivalent qualification in Electrical Engineering
  • Demonstrable engineering experience in the nuclear industry
  • Demonstrable commissioning experience in the nuclear industry
  • Experience in producing performance test documentation
  • Experience in producing safety test documentation
  • Ability to fault-find on systems, plant, and equipment
  • A comprehensive understanding of safe working within a nuclear environment, including conventional hazards
