About the Role

We are seeking a talented Nuclear Physicist to join our team at the National Nuclear Laboratory. As a Principal Reactor Physicist, you will contribute to the development of cutting-edge technologies and solutions for the nuclear industry.

The successful candidate will have a strong background in nuclear physics and extensive experience in leading technical projects. You will be responsible for designing and implementing new reactor systems, as well as providing expert advice on reactor safety and operation.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement new reactor systems
  • Provide expert advice on reactor safety and operation
  • Lead technical projects related to reactor physics and safety
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to advance reactor physics research

Requirements:

  • PhD or MSc in Nuclear Physics or a related field
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in nuclear industry
  • Strong knowledge of reactor physics and safety principles
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills

Salary: £65,000 - £90,000 per annum

Location: National Nuclear Laboratory, UK
