Safety Assessment Apprentice Role

">

We're seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic individual to join our team as a Safety Assessment Apprentice. This role provides an exciting opportunity to apply and further develop your skills, knowledge, and interest in a STEM subject (Science, Technology, Engineering or Maths).

Job Description:

  • The successful candidate will undergo training in the different areas of safety assessment and safety cases, while applying these skills on a range of operations and projects.">
  • This will involve a combination of desk-based activities, computational modelling, and plant visits in the areas of radiological safety and shielding, chemical safety, nuclear safety, human performance, and security.">

Required Skills and Qualifications:

">

To be considered for this role, you should have a good academic background, including 5 GCSEs 9-4 (A-C) including Maths and English. You should also be on track to complete or have obtained a Level 3 qualification, such as A-levels, or completed an advanced apprenticeship.

In addition, you'll need to meet the eligibility criteria for the Nuclear Science and Engineering, Level 6 standard.
