Nuclear Equipment Technician Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Nuclear Equipment Technician to join our team.

Job Summary:

The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing pragmatic engineering solutions that meet organizational objectives in a cost-effective manner.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Support maintenance activities by maintaining the technical basis of maintenance process, planning complex maintenance tasks based on insight and equipment experience.
  • Ensure safe operation of the facility by briefing, understanding, and performing maintenance tasks on schedule.
  • Comply with legislative, regulatory, and company procedures and standards.
  • Assist in producing PMPs required within Compliance Engineering, presenting at committee as necessary.
  • Support the Mechanical Team Leader in installation, modifications, and commissioning of installed equipment, identifying plant and process improvements.
  • Attend forums to stay up-to-date with best practices and share learning within the facility.
Requirements:
  • Degree Qualified (Mechanical) or HND in an equivalent discipline.
  • Required to become PMP Manager.
  • Requirement to become appointed as Sub Contractor Supervisor.
  • Ability to achieve SC Clearance.
Desirable Criteria:
  • Hold IOSH Managing Safely or equivalent as a minimum qualification.
  • A thorough awareness of nuclear, conventional safety, and security requirements.
  • Ability to demonstrate supervisory experience in a nuclear plant environment.
  • Good general safety case awareness with knowledge of nuclear safety mechanisms, safety-related equipment, and Safety Features.
Compensation Package:

The estimated salary for this role is £55,000 - £65,000 per annum, depending on experience.
