National Nuclear Laboratory is seeking an experienced and skilled professional to fill the role of Capability Leader for Safety, Security, Safeguards and Human Factors. This position offers a unique opportunity to lead specialist teams operating across multiple locations and remotely.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Lead technical substantiation and underpinning against nuclear regulation for internal and commercial activities focused on facilities, operations, and projects.
  • Align resources to meet short- and medium-term strategic and project requirements.
  • Develop and implement effective leadership strategies to drive business growth and cultural change.

This exciting opportunity has become available due to significant growth in NNL's operational and project workload. The successful candidate will have extensive experience in managing multiple technical capabilities, people, facilities, and equipment across nuclear and non-nuclear sites.

Key Skills and Qualifications:
  • Significant nuclear knowledge and experience to understand most aspects of safety, security, safeguards, and human factors.
  • Strong leadership and management skills with experience in managing million £ budgets.
  • Ability to obtain SC level security clearance.
