Residential Care Professional

Gateway Housing Careers presents an exciting opportunity for a skilled and compassionate individual to join our team as a Residential Care Professional in our new care home in Northampton. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality care and support to vulnerable children, enabling them to thrive and reach their full potential.
About the Position
In this role, you will work closely with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement comprehensive care plans, ensuring the needs of each child are met. Your expertise in residential care work will be invaluable in maintaining high standards of professionalism expected by Ofsted. You will also contribute to the upkeep of the home environment, adhering to health and safety protocols, and participate in staff meetings and training sessions to enhance your skills and knowledge.
Key Responsibilities:
- Developing and implementing individualized care plans in collaboration with young people, families, and external agencies.
- Maintaining accurate and detailed records of daily activities, including care plans, risk assessments, and incident reports.
- Contributing to the upkeep of the home environment, ensuring it remains clean, safe, and well-maintained.
- Participating in staff meetings and training sessions to enhance professional development and knowledge-sharing.
Requirements
A relevant qualification in childcare or a related field, along with a minimum of 6 months' experience working with vulnerable children, is essential. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, a commitment to ongoing professional development, and adaptability are also highly valued. This role offers a competitive salary of £25,000 - £30,000 per annum, depending on experience, plus a range of benefits.
